I am making them because my Mama was a nurse, and I have been blessed with friends and caregivers for years who have gone out of their way to care for me and need my support right now. I have friends in areas that can’t get needed supplies and as I’m immunocompromised, I can’t go out and help- but this is something I can do at home that will hopefully give them a little protection. It makes me feel a little less helpless in a time when the only thing we can really do to help is to stay home.

My mom was a Doctor and a quilter. Can’t think of a better way to honor her memory than to use her fabric and supplies to help people.

This is going full cliche…but I feel as a Christian we’re called to use our talents to do His work. I’m not great at sewing but I can do this.

Started these for my cousin who is a resident at a Baton Rouge hospital. I’m obsessed with cotton printed fabric; always wanted to make a quilt, but never did. So I have yards and yards of it that I’ve just been sitting and looking at.
